Weekly Iron and Folic Acid Supplementation
Weekly Iron and Folic Acid supplementation is given to the adolescent group (10-19 Yrs) on every Thursday. This scheme aims is reducing the prevalence and severity of nutritional anemia in adolescent population. The school Nodal Teachers will give weekly Blue IFA (100 mg) to the school going adolescent girls and boys (6th to 12th classes) The anganwadi teacher will give weekly Blue IFA to the non-school going adolescent girls.
National Deworming Day
National Deworming Day (NDD) is celebrated every year on Feb 10th and Aug 10th. NDD aims in deworming all preschool children and school age children (enrolled and non enrolled) between 1-19 yrs of age through Government schools, Government Aided Schools and anganwadi centres. Teachers will administer Tab.Albendazole to all school enrolled children. Anganwadi worker will administer Tab.Albendazole to all children aged 1-5 yrs and out of school children and adolescents.
