Hostels

| Sector: Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare

There are 43 hostels are functioning for the welfare of poor BC/MBC/MW students under the control of District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Office. In which 26 BC Hostels, 16 MBC Hostels and 1 Minority Welfare Hostel. (Among this 5 College Girls Hostels and 3 College Boys Hostels.) Students to stay in the above hostels may be contact the concern School/College Warden/Matron or DBCWO, Krishnagiri.

Eligibility Condition

  • The students must enroll himself in the particular school
  • The parents annual income should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- for admission in hostels
  • The distance from residence to school should be more than 8 km for male students, and female students distance criteria may not apply

Procedure to obtain the benefit/Service

In order to accommodate the children who are belonging to BC, MBC, SC, ST and OC must obtain the hostel application through the Warden/Matron in the respective hostels and duly filled application must be submitted to the warden/matron concerned on time.

As soon as the schools reopen the respective students who are seeking admissions in the hostels should get the application through the warden/matron
