The MLACDS is fully funded by the State Government and each MLA identifies and proposes the works to be executed in his Constituency. The Scheme is implemented both in rural and urban areas. The main objective of the Scheme is to identify and implement the essential works to bridge the critical infrastructure gaps in the Assembly Constituencies. The allocation of funds under the Scheme for the year 2017-18 is increased from Rs.2.00 Crores to Rs.2.5 Crores.
Out of Rs.2.5 Crores, a sum of Rs.1.5 Crores is for Tied Components. For providing infrastructure facilities to schools at a cost of Rs.0.20 Crore and remaining Rs.1.3 Crores is for providing CC Roads, BT Roads, Water Supply works and other works which falls under negative list of MLACDs.
