HOSUR NEW TOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

Hosur New Town Development area was notified under section 10(1)(a) of Town and Country Planning Act 1971 in G.O.Ms.No.257 Rural Development and Local Administration, Dt:22.02.1978 and it was confirmed under section 10(4) of Town and Country Planning Act 1971 in G.O.Ms.No.782 Housing and Urban Development Department Dated: 19.05.1979.

Inclusion of additional area in Hosur New Town Development area was notified under section 10(1)(c) of Town and Country Planning Act 1971 in G.O.Ms.No.01 Housing and Urban Development Department Dated: 02.01.2013 and it was confirmed under section 10(4) of Town and Country Planning Act 1971 in G.O.Ms.No.96 Housing and Urban Development Department Dated: 29.05.2017.

HOSUR DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2046 FOR HOSUR NEW TOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

The Master Plan for the Hosur New Town Development Area consisting of 130 villages along with the Hosur Municipal Corporation and Kelamangalam Town Panchayat confirmed by G.O. (Ms). No.96, Housing and Urban Development [UD4(2)] Department, dated 29.05.2017 has been consented by the Government under Section 24(2) of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971 (Section 35 of the Tamil Nadu Act, 1971) vide G.O.(Ms). No.205, Housing and Urban Development (UD4(2)) Department, dated 18.11.2022.

The Hosur Development Plan 2046 for the Hosur New Town Development area approved by the Government has been brought into operation by virtue of G.O(Ms).No.08, Housing and Urban Development [UD4(2)] Department, dated 20.01.2025, Under Section 28 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971, and has been published in the Tamil Nadu Gazette, Publication No.32, Part-II, Section-2, dated 22.01.2025, Under Section 35(1) of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971 (Tamil Nadu Act, 1972, Section 35).
