Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board

Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board is established in Tamilnadu exclusively for rehabilitating the slum dwellers by means of accommodating in storied tenements constructed within Chennai city. Later on the Board was extended their activities throughout Tamilnadu to upgrade the living standards of economically weaker section as well as below poverty line poor people by means accommodating in storied tenements as well as by giving employment opportunities. Now various programmes exclusively for slum dwelling poor people are implemented throughout Tamilnadu with the financial assistance of Government of India as well as from Government of Tamilnadu.
