Collector’s Profile

Dr. S.Prabhakar, I.A.S, , Collector and District Magistrate, Krishnagiri is an officer of Indian Administrative Service belonging to 2009 batch. He is native of Salem District,  Tamilnadu. He has completed his post graduation in M.V.Sc., at Tami Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Chennai. Languages known: Tamil and English. He has specialized in Veterinary Pathology and research on mycotoxins. To his credit he had published 5 research papers in Indian Journal of Veterinary Pathology. He had Served in Tsunami, Rehabilitation work in Cuddalore and then in Chennai. His Special Assignment in World Tamil Classical Conference held in Coimbatore, 2010 as Officer on Special Duty.
He served as District collector, Erode for the past four years. He took charge as District Collector Krishnagiri on 30-08-2018.
